The all-new Suzuki Baleno is now available to test drive at Suzuki Clearwater.  Following the global launch that took place May, the Baleno promises to be everything that luxury hatchback customers could ask for, and more.
Four models of the all-new Baleno will be available, with a high level of safety and luxury and the option of manual or automatic transmissions in both specification levels.

Best-in-class specifications
The Suzuki Baleno has always been one of the best-specified vehicles in its class, both in terms of luxury features and its service plan and mechanical warranty terms.
For the all-new model, Suzuki has added even more specifications to both the GL and GLX range, making it the uncontested luxury leader in its segment.

In the Suzuki Baleno GL manual and automatic versions, the following specifications are added as standard:
7” Touchscreen infotainment system
Smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Reverse camera with rear park sensors
3 x USB ports (1 x front, 2 x rear including USB Type-C)
Automatic climate control with rear air vents
Cruise control
Leather covered steering wheel with audio controls
Remote central locking
Electrically adjustable and foldable side mirrors
Halogen projector headlamps
LED front fog lamps
12V accessory socket

Safety and security in the GL specification level are also very well taken care of with ABS, EBD, dual front airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP), ISOFIX child seat anchors and an alarm and immobiliser as standard.

In the Suzuki Baleno GLX, the number of luxuries is boosted to a level previously unheard of in this segment. It includes:
Digital head-up display
Full 360-degree view camera featuring four external cameras
9” Touchscreen infotainment system
Smart vehicle alerts and connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Automatic LED Projector headlights
LED daytime running lights
2” full-colour vehicle information display in the instrument cluster
Keyless entry with a Start/Stop button
Interior footwell and puddle light illumination
Automatically dimming rear-view mirror
Polished 16” alloy wheels.

Suzuki will also boost the safety features with the addition of curtain and side airbags for a total of six airbags.

More power – 1.5 litre VVT engine
Apart from the additional luxuries, Suzuki has also replaced the 1.4 litre petrol engine of the previous-generation Baleno with its popular and powerful K15B petrol engine.
This engine, which is also used in the Suzuki-built Toyota Starlet, Urban Cruiser and Rumion, delivers a sprightly 77 kW at 6 000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4 400 rpm.
While these power figures are impressive by their own accord, it is worth noting that Suzuki engineers have shaved off a significant amount of weight thanks to the use of more high-tensile steel to bring the total vehicle weight to 955 kg. This gives the Baleno a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 81 kW per tonne.
Put differently, the Baleno weights on average 10% less than its competitors and has an average 30% higher power-to-weight ratio. This, of course, helps both performance and fuel consumption.
The Baleno has an average fuel consumption rating of 5.4l/100km for the manual transmission models and 5.7l/100km in the automatic transmission models.
In good hands
Every new Baleno will be sold with Suzuki’s popular 5-year / 200 000 km promotional mechanical warranty. This includes unlimited roadside assistance for the same period.
